What is a landscape?

Landscape contains the visible features of an area of land. These include physical elements such as mountains, hills, vegetation, buildings and structures. 


Landscapes often reflect the people or animals which live there. It is the dynamic backdrop to people's lives.

Our 5 senses, touch, sight, smell, taste and our hearing help us identify and experience different landscapes. Our perspective of the land help us appreciate what is before us.
